Kyle introduces us to a set of stunning Corvette’s out of the Lingenfelter collection. These twin Lingenfelter Performance improved Karl Kustom Corvettes (KKC) both started life as Chevrolet C6 Z06s. They received a full engine make over at Lingenfelter’s Decatur, Indiana shop, resulting in an impressive naturally aspirated 660 hp out of the factory LS7, before being shipped off to KKC.
Both cars were also equipped with a set Kooks Headers and full Corsa exhaust before being shipped out. This has resulted in an awesome auditory experience every time the gas pedal is compressed.
KKC is located in the Des Moines, Iowa and specializes in converting C6s into retro-mod versions of the 60’s finest Corvettes. As is the case with every car that rolls into KKC, the original fenders, hood, deck lid, doors, and bumpers are removed and replaced with brand-new custom fiberglass body panels.
In these instances we see the blending of a 1967 C2 Corvette with the safety and reliability of the C6, resulting in a stunning automotive achievement. The only things that are still original on these C6s, once complete, are the roof, interior, and side mirrors.
KKC also allows you to customize your C6 into a Spilt window ’63, ’64-’67 coupe and ’63- ’67 roadster, even more custom wheel, interior, and brake options allows every enthusiast a chance customize a KKC of their own.
With the prefect blend of old and new it’s hard not to resist the temptation of getting ahold of one! Tell us what you think in the comments below.
