Thanks To Ronald McDonald House Charities You Could Win This 1962 Corvette

Many folks, when asked, would agree that they would like to own a solid-axle Corvette. They are a true classic, and those swooping lines and powerful V8 make for a very enjoyable car. 1962 marked the end of the solid-axle era, but thanks to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of The Central Valley (California), this particular ’62 Corvette could be just the beginning for you.

One of the ways that the RMHC of the Central Valley obtains the much-needed funds to carry out their mission of providing a home away from home and resources for families while their children are being treated in a local hospital is to have annual collector car giveaways. 2018 marks the 25th year they have conducted a collector car drawing. In response, in 2017, over 6,570 nights were provided to 1,687 families with an average stay lasting 15 days.

The 340-horse 327 has been restored and is ready for years of enjoyment to its next owner.

This year, the RMHC of the Central Valley is offering three Giveaways, a custom 1967 Camaro built by Jeff Allen of the TV show The Car Chasers, a 2018 Callaway Carbon 65 Z06 Corvette and this restored, Tuxedo Black 1962 Corvette. Featuring a 340 horsepower 327 engine, other fun factors on this car are the four-speed, and of course, the drop-top. The car was treated to a frame-off restoration and both the engine and transmission have been rebuilt to factory standards. The rear end has been rebuilt to factory condition and the frame and chassis components have been powder-coated to protect them from road grime and dirt, so there’s one less reason to not enjoy driving this Corvette.

The black/red color is striking and makes for a great cockpit to enjoy a celebratory drive.

Other components such as the wiper motor and the Wonderbar radio have been brought back to better than new condition and of course, all of the bright-work has been straightened and re-finished. The striking red interior is new with new seat foam installed between the restored seat buckets and the leather interior. A new matching dash pad houses the speaker cover and defrosters and would make a great view to peer out over while enjoying some top-down fun.

Altogether, this ’62 Corvette Giveaway is a great opportunity get your own solid-axle Corvette. Of course, only one lucky winner will have the opportunity to get behind that 17-inch wheel, but with so many families benefitting from the good things that giveaways like this can provide, it would be impossible to say that there’s only one winner. To be eligible, you must go to their website and enter the drawing by November 16th of 2018. The RMHC of Central Valley will be picking the winners of each of these cars on November 30th, 2018 and the winner will be notified November 30th, 2018 at approximately 12:00pm PST.
