For the fourth year running, Chevy is teaming up with the American Cancer Society to help fight breast cancer, and you can help. Through the end of October, for every new vehicle test driven at a dealership, Chevrolet will donate $10 to the ACS’ Making Strides Against Breast Cancer program. Drivers must be 21 or older, and have a valid driver’s license to participate. Chevrolet has pledged to donate up to $130,000 to the program in total, and with just a few days left in the month, there is still time to get your test drive in and help reach that goal.
Over the past three years, the partnership has raised more than $3.2 million to help finish the fight against breast cancer. According to the ACS, the chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer some time during her life is about 1 in 8. The chance of dying from breast cancer is about 1 in 36. The good news, though, is that it’s on the decline, thanks in part to earlier detection and treatment. Right now there are more than 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
Chevy also invites you to take a picture after your drive and post it to social media using the #IDriveFor hashtag to show your support for the fight against breast cancer. Even if it never affects you directly, there is someone in your life who will be touched by this disease, and together we can make a difference.
