If you’re going to be in Torrance, California, on May 14, 2016, then you need to swing by the all-American performance shop called Edelbrock. If you are not going to be in town, here is a good reason why you should. This year marks their 11th Annual Edelbrock Car Show, where participants and spectators alike, can get together, and see more than just cars.
On Friday, May 13, the folks at Edelbrock will swing open the doors of the kingdom, offering free tours of the facility to anyone interested. Participants will get the opportunity to take a guided tour of Edelbrock’s Research and Development, Manufacturing and Quality Control departments, and find out just what it takes to make the parts we all use. The shop tours begin at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 2:00 p.m. Limited spots are available, and are going fast. Interested parties can register online at the Edelbrock Car Show website. When Saturday, May 14, rolls around, you’ll be able to find an estimated 400-plus cars filling the streets around Vic’s Garage for the 11th-annual car show.
If you’re a fan of all things automotive, you are definitely invited to come out and enjoy a day of hot rods, great food, and live entertainment. As in years past, the show will also host the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge. This challenge places teams of high school students from all over Southern California, in a race to tear down and rebuild an engine in a timed and judged competition.
Don’t worry about finding something for the little ones to do for the day, as the ever popular Kids Corner will return with tons of activities for children of all ages. There will be a plethora of aftermarket manufacturers in attendance, so if you have been looking for car parts, you need to be here. Show hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and spectator entry is free.
All makes and models of vehicles are welcome, and interested car show participants can register online at the Edelbrock car show registration website. Standard registration is available from now until April 15th at $35.00 per vehicle. Registration is also available the day of the show, at $40.00 per vehicle. There are a limited number of VIP spaces available for a $100.00 per vehicle, and special arrangements can be made to accommodate small and large car clubs.
