Occasionally our world happens to spit out something with so much impact, it just lives on. Standing the test of time and closely related to our hot-rodding culture is the All-American band, the Beach Boys. This year at the Goodguys 17th annual Colorado Nationals, the Beach Boys will be performing live and “Celebrating 50 Years of Fun Fun Fun.”
The Colorado Nationals event will be taking place June 6-8, 2014 at The Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, CO. The big-time concert will be held nearby at the Budweiser Event Center on the June 6, 2014 starting at 8pm. The Goodguys team worked closely with the Budweiser Event Center and and will be getting a special perk for hot-rodders attending the concert. A special “Hot Rod Only” parking section will be set up before the concert. Additional security will be on hand to protect the mini-car show that is likely to fill the parking spots.
The Beach Boys have a long standing relationship with car culture. Songs like “Little Deuce Coupe” and “409” have been ingrained into the hot-rodding world forever, securely placing the Beach Boys on the hot rod map forever. Multiple album covers are plastered with some sort of kustom. Hot rods were just part of everyday life for the band members, quite possibly even more than surfing was since founding band member Dennis Wilson was allegedly the only avid surfer in the group early on.
