SEMA 2015: Dynojet Turns Focus To Third-Party Tuner Integration

The team at Dynojet Research has their hands in a number of different high-performance and racing markets, from the automotive realm to motorcycles. When it comes to products, they’ve got you covered from both angles: not only do they design and engineer the dynamometers used by car and motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide, but they also develop the electronic fuel injection components, ignition modules, tuners, and other hardware used to power and tune the vehicle on the dyno.

IMG_3612Here at the SEMA Show, they’ve got a little bit of everything on display, including its large chassis dynamometers. The company hasn’t made any significant changes to the hardware in their units, but have instead focused on the software side, bringing to the table many new features and improved accuracy and reliability. Among the top features is the ability to input data in real-time using its dynos for viewing, from third-party tuning devices.

“Over the last year, we’ve put a lot of time into updating the software and developing new electronics for our dynos, and its on ongoing process of updating and fixing bugs,” says Dynojet’s Dustin Schaller. “We are focusing on integration. A lot of shops use AEM electronics, for example, and now their data can be brought into our software and displayed in real-time. We want to do more third-party stuff to increase our integration, so we’re working with a lot of tuner manufacturers.”

Other companies Dynojet is working with on data integration include SCT, DiabloSport, and EFI Live.
