This year Lingenfelter brought some new products to the PRI Show, but they also brought something exciting for LS Fest in 2016. We had the chance to catch up with them and find out everything that was going on.

As for parts, Lingenfelter brought a drop-in fuel pump for the late C5 Corvette, and all the C6 Corvettes except for the ZR-1. “This is a much higher flow pump, it will support between 650 to 800 horsepower depending on if you are naturally aspirated or turbocharged. That is without voltage boosting, if it is voltage-boosted it can support more,” Jason Haines explained.

“This pump is also an E85 capable pump. You do not need to change fuel lines, regulator, or filter. We wanted to be able to offer it as an option for Corvette owners,” he said.

Haines also told us about the other new product, “We also have a new RPM limiter and launch controller with timing retard function for the newer DI motors. They change the way the connectors are on the coil packs so we need to create a unit that could connect to each individual coil.”

Lingenfelter has been a huge part of Holley’s LS Fest since the beginning. This year they are bringing something huge to the table. Lingenfelter and the School of Automotive Machinists have teamed up to present the ultimate COPO Camaro drag race titled, “Battle at the Green,” with a $10,000 prize, during the 2016 Holley LS Fest at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

“With Chevrolet’s continuation of the COPO Camaro program in 2016, we expect this new generation of race car to increase participation as well as spectator interest in the future.  While Lingenfelter has sponsored the COPO class from the beginning, during the 2015 event Judson Massingill of the School of Automotive Machinists and I developed the idea of offering competitors this added incentive. With $10,000 to the winner, as well as bragging rights, we’re hoping to turn this into the ultimate COPO Camaro shootout for the year,” Mike Copeland, vice president and general manager of Lingenfelter, said about the announcement.

This is great for the event and as they look for at least 32 COPO Camaros to compete in the bracket race-style event. The top qualifying driver will race the last place, and so on. It will be a great event along with all the other LS Fest activities.
