Famed tuner Bill Thomas’ career started while he was building Corvettes for road racing. By 1963, Carroll Shelby’s 427 Cobra was racing its way to a sports car legacy, but Thomas was responsible for helping Chevy to create their Cobra equivalent, the 1,520 pound Cheetah, a racer that never got the shot it deserved
