Tom Hill, the Quality Engineering Manager at Chevrolet’s Bowling Green, Ky. Corvette Assembly Plant, delivered a detailed walkaround of the 2012 Corvette lineup this morning on the grounds of Mid America Motorworks and the Corvette Funfest, taking an in-depth look at all of the new features and options on the refreshed 2012 model year ‘Vette. Making this more of an interactive experience than just a presentation, Hill quizzed the crowd on some of the new features as they checked out the new sharp new C6 and ZO6’s on display at the GM Engineering tent.
The 2012 Corvette walkaround drew quite a crowd of interested onlookers this morning, curius to see some of the new cars up close and personal. Shown in the foreground is a new ZO6, which has optons including a carbon fiber hood, Perfromance Traction Management, and several other exciting new features.
All new 2012 Corvette models, such as this Millenium Yellow Grand Sport, will sport a new seat design and steering wheel. Available as an option and a feature that Hill displayed to the crowd was the microfiber suede seat inserts, which provide a much-improved tactile feel.
