Zip and Green Filter Debut LT1 Green Performance Air Intake System

Looking to grab some cheap horsepower from your Corvette’a LT1 motor?  Zip Corvette and Green Filter have teamed up and introduced their LT1 Green Performance Air Intake System for 2014-1017 Corvettes.

According to Zip, “Green Filter’s engineers worked in conjunction with the research team at Zip Corvette to develop a high-performance air intake system purposely designed to increase power and torque for your C7 Corvette Stingray.

At the core of the system is Green’s performance air filter. Unlike multi-layer gauze filters which can fray and release fiber particles into your Corvette’s engine, Green Performance Air filters use two layers of tightly-interwoven cotton fabric. Because the fabric is so durable, Green Air Filters can be washed and reused over and over, which is why a lifetime guarantee comes with each one.

Other Corvette air filters use a simple pressure molded injection process to bond the perimeter rubber to the interior components. That method saves manufacturing time, but in the process, a considerable amount of rubber can seep onto the filtering surface. This can restrict airflow as much as 25%. Green Filters go through a precise 4 step production process, which virtually eliminates seepage and maintains maximum airflow through the filter. Features includes; hand molded flexible rubber base, deeper air filter pleats which creates 20% more filtration surface and steel mesh coating for extra strength and durability.

Coupled to the Green Filter performance air filter is a dyno-tuned roto molded air intake tube; custom designed for maximum performance. The performance air intake tube allows for increased cfm to the throttle body without concern for check engine lights or causing your Corvette to enter reduced power mode.

Zip’s own testing realized performance gains up to 11 horsepower and 14 ft/lbs of torque through a SuperFlow Autodyn 30 dyno on a stock C7 Corvette Stingray. The new Green Filter USA air intake system replaces everything from the fender to the throttle body. Includes all installation hardware. With the increase in torque you’ll feel more midrange punch plus a nice increase in sound volume due to the open element air cleaner.”

It’s a beautiful system that looks and sounds better than stock and delivers a power boost as well. For more details and pricing on this state-of-the-art CAI, go to
