It’s been estimated that nearly half a million people tread through Times Square every single day, so if you’re a bit of an exhibitionist looking to get recognized by as many people as possible, it seems like the perfect place to put on your show. In this video we recently uncovered on YouTube, we find two of the all-time great archetype grand-standers battling it out: The Corvette-Driver-Doing-Burnout versus the Famous NYC “Naked Cowboy [2].”
The video opens on the Z06 revving violently, and the thunderous crack from its exhaust scares away several of the would-be spectators. Suddenly, the Naked Cowboy enters from the left, and in true cowboy style he walks right up to the Z06 when others are running away. When the driver stalls on his first two attempts to show that he’s the real Boss of Times Square, it appears that Naked Cowboy jeers the driver, as if to say, “You can’t bring that weak sauce up in my house…” But then, just when you think all hope is lost, the Z06 unleashes a most-brutal burnout on NYC’s blacktop that is second to none. Naked Cowboy knows he’s been defeated and the battle for the crowd’s attention has been won by the Z06, and all he can do is gallop away through the billowing tire smoke as the crowd cheers for the victor.
Sorry Naked Cowboy, but there’s a new Exhibitionist King of Times Square, and he drives an LS7 powered tire-eating beast that you just can’t compete with.
