stolen-corvette-crashMiami is home to many things; lots of beautiful people, sun, sand, nightclubs, and plenty of questionable behavior. This particular Miami-area neighborhood is also home to the scene of a crime – a carjacker stole this Corvette and proceeded to wreck it into the side of a house!

WPLG has the story. According to neighbor Tony Samuels, “We suspected it from where we was. that the driver was operating like that’s not his car.” The car was spotted in a few different jurisdictions before it came to its final resting place in the bushes of a property after Miami police gave chase. The car spun out and crashed, and perhaps the most amazing part is that the driver got out and simply ran away!

wvw1We may never know who he was, or why he stole the car, but the car was stolen at gunpoint in Opa Locka, Florida, which is located in Miami-Dade County, before the thief made his way to Miami and put the car into its final resting place. The damage to the house was substantial, as pieces of the car were still buried in the house during the news report.

Nobody in the house was hurt, which is probably the best part of the whole story, and Miami-Dade Crimestoppers are still looking for information on the crime. Of course, if you are the criminal and you’re reading this, your days of freedom are numbered. We’d have to guess that the po-po has some of your DNA from the surface of the airbag. Better hope you haven’t made your way into the database in the past.
