We at Corvette Online get to see a lot of Corvettes, they are kind of a big deal to us. On a regular basis we will sift through the internet with a fine toothed comb for the latest news and most interesting rides. With that, we also have quite a few readers who reach out to us and either share Corvette-related links they have found or submit pictures they have taken of their Vettes or ones owned by friends.
Every once in a while, however, we will receive a link from a reader that really makes us stop and think. One such link was listed on the Insurance Auto Auctions website for a 2014 C7 Corvette that was recently wrecked. Now, we will highlight wrecked Vettes on a weekly basis for ‘Wrecked Vette Wednesday’ on Facebook, however we typically pick pictures that appear to be survivable crashes. With this user-submitted C7, we can only hope that the driver and/or passenger were ok after this crash.
The vehicle in question is a 3LT Z51-equipped C7, which is the top of the line for 2014. No doubt there was speed involved in this wreck as the entire car is destroyed. It appears to have experienced a heavy-frontal impact that has rendered this car fit for the scarp yard. If you look at the pictures closely, you can see the entire front-end was ripped off, including suspension, and the roof seems to have been compromised as well. With more and more performance, comes more responsibility, and hopefully the safety features did their job and the driver/passenger of this C7 are alright. Drive responsibly folks, especially when you have passengers in the vehicle.
