It’s Wednesday once again, and that means another installation of Wrecked Vette Wednesday. Today’s offering to the fiberglass gods is a 2015 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray coupe. It obviously suffered some sort of blow to the front end, and according to IAA, it will not start – but that’s no reason to give up on this once-beautiful car.
There are a few issues for anyone thinking of repairing this Vette to get a cheap runner that looks worth 10 times what you paid for it. There aren’t any aftermarket body panels for this new of a Corvette yet, so you’ll have to seek out a donor car or pay up for some factory replacements.
There are more than a few other donor cars out there so some careful searching could yield some surprising results. Take the best of whatever you can find and hope in the end you can scratch a complete Corvette out of the mess. If it’s too much of a project, you could always put that LT1 and transaxle into something else. Perhaps an off-road buggy or a Factory Five GTM?
No matter what you do with this wrecked Vette, it’ll have to be something completely different because, plain and simple, this one ain’t coming back without some hard work and expensive repairs, folks. If you’re really interested, the car is currently sitting in Houston, Texas and has an estimated repair bill of just over $30,000.
