Win an All-New Corvette and a Trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans

[1]

It was in a reading of the rules that we came across this interesting tidbit – the 2014 Corvette Stingray has an ARV (Approximate Retail Value) of $71,860.

When GM rolled out the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the North American International Auto Show, a million men broke out their calculators in an attempt to figure how to afford this next-gen American supercar. Alas, without knowing the actual MSRP, it’s impossible to say what the monthly payments for a 2014 Corvette Stingray [2] will be. But a new contest from GM may have dropped the first clue.

The Race To Win A Corvette contest offers one lucky winner the prize package of a lifetime; a 2014 Corvette Stingray, and a trip for two to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

As the world’s oldest active endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is on the bucket list for many motorsports enthusiasts. Dating back to 1923, this will be the 90th anniversary for the race, and you can bet the Corvette Racing team [3] will be on hand to try and take home the gold. Also on hand will be a lucky winner and their guest for the Race To Win A Corvette Contest.

It was in a reading of the rules that we came across this interesting tidbit – the 2014 Corvette Stingray has an ARV (Approximate Retail Value) of $71,860, which would probably represent the MSRP of a decently optioned Z51, though we’re just engaging in conjectutre. The rest of the trip has a ARV of almost $11,000, so that certainly wasn’t included in the cost of the new Corvette.

That’s quite the price jump over the base C6; perhaps there is credence to those rumors of a lower-priced Corvette, though the “lower price” in this case is all about perspective…
