Chevrolet recently announced their new “Road to Le Mans [3]” giveaway in which one lucky winner will become the proud new owner of one of the all-new 427 Convertibles, as well as a trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. As you might remember from our recent posts about the 427 Convertible [4], its release celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Corvette, and it’s essentially a Z06 in disguise as a convertible. It’s powered by the same 505 horsepower LS7 that we all know and love, and uses carbon fiber body panels extensively. The combo of light weight and high power means that the 427 Convertible can rocket to 60 from a dead stop in just 3.8 seconds.
The winner of the Road to Le Mans Prize Package will not only win their very own 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Collector’s Edition, but will also score a trip for 2 to next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. The winner and their guest will get round trip airfare, tickets to the race, 5 days and 4 nights of lodging, and even a little bit of walk-around money.
