Widebody Corvette C6 Overkill Spotted in Dubai

Regardless of the natural beauty of the car in its purest form, there is always the aftermarket for those who think this beauty can be enhanced with a body kit. While in some cases the addition of a body kit can complement the overall appearance of a ride, on the other end of the spectrum we must concur an epic fail in some instances.

One such instance of what most are considering a fail on many levels is a recent sighting of a Corvette, on the streets of Dubai, sporting the latest widebody C6 kit dropped by Arsha Design, based in the United Arab Emirates. A design which is causing a stir amongst the Corvette family is posing the age old question of whether to modify or to not modify the iconic Flagship ride of Chevrolet.

This latest kit which sees the addition of new arches, side skirts, an unusual looking bonnet, bumper splitter, wheels, rear diffuser taillight, and less than stellar rectangular quad tailpipes has been receiving poor reviews with many asking if less would have been more in this case.

We suspect while this may not be the preferred flavor of most, there probably is a small market who might actually consider this kit for their next buy. With that said Arsha Design might just be able to move enough units to recoup their investment if they target those who have not paid a visit to their optometrist lately.

In this case your author is in agreement that less would have definitely been more, as the goal is to accent the natural beauty of a ride with an aftermarket body kit. The well-known sleek lines and stealthy aerodynamic look of the iconic Corvette with this body kit has been lost and the result is a tank like appearance of something that is almost no longer recognizable as the car we have come to know and love. What say ye? Would you sport this look or would you recommend a trip back to the body shop?

Bridgett Davis

Growing up in Greenwood, Indiana a short distance from the world famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, my dad would take me to local car shows and events. Through this I gained my passion. Along with cars, I have always loved photography, writing, and graphic arts. However when attending college I did not pursue my passions. I played it safe and majored in business and marketing. After a few years in this field I determined this was not for me and began to pursue a writing and photography career. Landing me here with Power Automedia. I am also now the business owner of Bridgett's Toxic Creations. Specializing in automobile showboards, custom license plates, logos, and website headers. Living and breathing the Mustang life everyday in everyway. To be able to work in my field of passion is amazing and fun experience everyday. The best part is sharing a common passion with others.
