For all of you current C7 Corvette owners and soon-to-be’s, feast your eyes on Weapon X‘s carbon fiber hood and aero kit!
Generally speaking, this kit is a home-run – because really, who doesnt love exposed carbon fiber? And the fitment of all the components looks great. The kit also requires no modification to the body of the car and installs into the OEM mounting holes, which makes it that much more awesome.
The silver C7 in the photos belongs to Ben from Weapon X, and he waited to unveil the kit at the NCM Bash this past weekend, which took place at, you guessed it, the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Weapon X’s carbon fiber aero kit got a lot of attention at the bash and Ben’s C7 also won best-in-show with top honors from the man himself, Tadge Juechter, chief engineer of the Corvette program.
The whole kit includes a carbon fiber hood, which is one inch taller than the OEM hood for better clearance with a blower or other power-adder, front lip spoiler, rocker blades, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser. The pieces look to be of great quality and really make the car stand out, especially in a sea of other C7 Corvettes.
Because we’re carbon fiber fanatics, we would definitely recommend this kit to C7 owners based on looks alone, but only if they can get past the price tag – $3,999 is what Weapon X is asking for. It is a lot of money, but the quality and fitment of the parts make up for the price. The kit looks gorgeous and we give them nothing but props to Weapon X for a quality product.
