VP Racing Fuels Partners With Petromark For Branded Fueling Stations

With the loss of “Mom ‘n Pop” fueling stations in this day and age, there’s not much brand loyalty to any particular global chain fill-upstation aside from those you’ve traditionally found to offer more quality fuels than others. Otherwise, one is no different than the next. But imagine, as a racer, that you were to come upon a fueling station that was truly the work of one of your own? Because that’s exactly what VP Racing Fuels — a homegrown, American company deeply rooted in motorsports — is doing through a new partnership with Petromark Inc., among others.

VP Racing Fuels has teamed with Petromark as the latest partner in their national branding strategy to bring VP-branded fueling stations to Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri,  and Tennessee. Petromark supports more than 218 retail and wholesale locations in these states, providing an excellent opportunity for VP to expand its brand.

“Our consideration of the VP brand focused on VP’s image, very favorable credit card processing program and incremental revenue from other VP-branded products,” said Steve Turner, Co-Owner of Petromark. “We’re excited about the opportunity to pioneer the new VP Racing Fuels brand to the market and providing our independent sites resources to compete in the changing marketplace.  Our success will be a result of the commitment of both companies.”

“We’re very pleased to add Petromark to the growing roster of Team VP,” said Alan Cerwick, President of VP Racing Fuels.  “As a long-time board member and former chairman of PMAA, Steve Turner commands substantial respect in the industry and getting his buy-in makes quite a statement about the viability and potential of our retail branding program.”

Petromark is an American company itself, founded back in 1929 in Arkansas as Lair Oil. The company boasts 28 retail locations and 190 wholesale sites.

In August, VP signed with R.E. Powell Distributing Co. to expand its branded fueling stations, and the Petromark announcement is another step in that strategic goal of placing a fuel station oasis for racers across the nation.
