They’ve came out with an incredibly easy and affordable set of tools to set your valve lash anywhere and anytime you need to get the job done.
[2]Weekly, Proform uploads YouTube videos [3] to their channel where we actually show you how to use various tools and parts. This past week was the Valve Lash Wrench Set [4]. These tools are very easy to use as they help you do the job of two hands with just one.
The set comes in four different variations including, 9/16-inch set with 3/16- & 7/32-inch, 7/16-inch set with 1/8- & 5/8-inch set with 3/16- & 7/32-inch and 1/2-inch set with 3/16- & 1/8-inch. Needless to say, there’s a set that’s useful to just about everyone.
You can get the job done by putting the properly sized rocker arm lock-down in place, position the adjusting wrench over it then, using the appropriate T-handle, start setting your lash by placing it into the rocker arm lock-down. Of course, you need to use a feeler gauge to set your lash to the suggested specification determined by your camshaft manufacturer. Needless to say, the Valve Lash Wrench Tool is definitely one that could always find a cozy place to live in your toolbox and get plenty of use.
