Video: Tuned Corvette Z06 Can’t Make Up For Bad Timing…

Money can buy a lot of things, though there are two critical items you can’t purchase; happiness, and natural skill. This is especially true when it comes to sports cars, often seen as the plaything of rich playboys who, more often than not, can’t handle all the horsepower they’ve ordered. Given time and the right coaching, you can learn to drive an overpowered car like the Corvette Z06.

[1]But if you don’t know what you’re doing, and you hop behind the wheel of a tuned-up, even-more-overpowered Corvette Z06, bad things can happen. Carscoop [2] came across this video of a burnout-gone-bad that almost ends up with the new owner getting crushed by a semi-truck. Warning, foul language aplenty!

The video features an unnamed owner picking up his freshly-tuned Corvette Z06 from a shop, probably located somewhere in Texas judging by the license plates on the Corvette. The driver was convinced to take the car for a spin, and he goes on to give a bit of a burnout at the end of the driveway. Not bad, but not exactly epic.

Round 2 however proves a bit more problematic, as the owner of this hot rod Corvette guns it hard out of the parking lot, and wounds up spinning 180 degrees in the middle of the road. Thankfully the oncoming traffic, led by a semi-truck, is able to stop in time and give the driver a chance to retreat back in the driveway.

This is one of those videos that could have turned out quite badly had the timing been a bit different. Thankfully the only injury is the no-doubt bruised ego of the driver. Hopefully, this little mishap spurs him to hit the track before he hits the accelerator for some test-and-tuning in his newly-finished ride.
