Video: The Smoking Tire Takes on the C7 Stingray

By now you’ve probably made an initial decision whether or not you like the brand new C7 Corvette, be it because of the improved interior, revamped 6.2L LT1 engine or the undeniable change in exterior aesthetics. But no matter how many reviews we see, we just can’t help but fall in love with the car even more. Maybe it’s because we’ve gotten plenty of face-time with the new Chevy or maybe it’s the added performance and appeal, but we’ve yet to find any dealbreakers in the new model.

smoking_tire_c7_4 [1]Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire [2] seems to agree, as he praises the new C7 model over the entire length of his latest review above. And who can blame him when we’re talking about a full aluminum chassis, direct fuel injection, a 7-speed Tremec transmission and the optional Z51 package, to name only a handful of assets? After all, we are talking about the iconic performance model completely revamped for a new generation.

What this means in performance numbers is not only a top speed of 180+ MPH but also an astounding quarter mile time of 12 seconds straight from the factory.

We’ve fallen in love with the new Vette and so have countless other enthusiasts, including current Corvette owners like Farah. And with the only shady spot in the Vette, according to Farah, being that it has too many speeds in its transmission, we can’t wait to get our hands on one ourselves.
