Video: Livernois Motorsports Tunes the C7 Corvette Stingray

The brand new C7 Corvette Stingray has been available to the public for a little over a week, and we know a lot of C7 owners are already looking for their first modification. If you are in that percentile of customers that obtained theirs already, then you are in luck! The boys over at Livernois Motorsports [1] have just released a MYCALIBR8OR tuning device with their first tune for the new C7 Corvette Stingray.

[2]In the video, Livernois is using 93 octane gasoline, but the tune is compatible with both 91 and 93, so for those of you that don’t have access to 93, don’t sweat it. On the dyno, the C7 Corvette that Livernois is using put down 408 horsepower and 407 pound-feet for a bone stock baseline. With the tune uploaded into the C7, it now makes a healthy 431 horsepower and 429 torque.

The tune doesn’t just change air/fuel ratios either; it enhances throttle response, updates the rev limiter, and offers the deletion of  Skip Shift on manual transmission models. This feature is great for those who don’t like the Computer Aided Gear Selection “feature” (CAGS), a system which forces the driver to skip from 1st to 4th gear under normal driving conditions, but lets you shift into 2nd and 3rd once more throttle is applied in 1st gear.

For automatic transmission models, there will be reduced throttle management and modified shift points/firmness. The MYCALIBR8OR device can also read and clear engine codes as well.

[3]The best part about the MYCALIBR8OR tuner is that it can save the stock tune when the Livernois tune is uploaded, so if there are any problems whatsoever, you can just upload the stock tune and go back to normal.

We look forward to see what else Livernois Motorsports has in store for the new C7 Stingray because they’re off to a great start – keep at it guys!
