Chances are, if you own a Corvette Z06, you don’t spend much time at the Pick-n-Pull junkyards. It’s not that you’re too good for that sort of thing, it’s that you don’t see too many Corvettes in the kind of junkyards where anyone can go and yank parts out. But there are exceptions to that rule. We may not know how this Corvette Z06 ended up in the Cleveland Pick-A-Part center, but the mechanics in charge had the foresight to set up a camera as they took this entry-level supercar apart bit by bit.

As we already said, we don’t know why this 2007 Corvette Z06 is going to the junkyard (though there does seem to be a fair amount of smoke emanating from under the hood area). At the start of the video it drives right into the mechanics bay, and we can’t hear or see anything wrong with it. But for whatever reason, this Z06 has come to the end of the line… and the Pick-A-Part guys film the entire process, start to finish.

It’s rather gruesome, watching such an awesome car get dismantled in such a way, but it is sort of entertaining too. Once all the body panels are off, the chassis is then hauled away to another part of the yard. Then, for whatever reason, the Corvette body is cut in half, literally. It’s a sad end for the Corvette, but was it worth the entertainment value?
