Video: Creating Unique Corvette Artwork with David Mills

Artist David Mills is know primarily for his paintings of social and political climates, but that doesn’t mean he’s not talented when it comes to painting other genres. As we found out from CorvetteBlogger, Mills is also very talented when it comes to automotive artwork. Thanks to the video above, you can see just what we mean.

Using illustrations from the Illustrated Corvette Series by K. Scott Teeters as a base, Mills sets forth to create a unique tribute piece to the all-American Corvette. Every detail of the art piece is designed and calculated by Mills, from the placement of the illustrations to the size of the letters that spell out Chevrolet and Corvette. What results is one unique piece of Corvette artwork that includes a 3D emblem and a vintage look.

While we figure that this creative piece of artwork took Mills quite a while to complete, the video speeds up the process to just 6 minutes. Take a look at the video above to see Mill’s Corvette artwork come together in fast forward.
