Video: C6 Z06 Corvette Makes 1,244 Horsepower On Pump Gas

Over 1,000 horsepower on pump gas? It may sound a little outlandish, but with Late Model Racecraft [1] behind the build it seems more than possible. High Tech Corvette [2] and LMR put together a nice video documenting a day on the dyno with a twin-turbo Corvette. When your business is creating some of the most powerful LSX powered cars on the face of the earth, dyno testing a ridiculously powerful twin-turbo Z06 is just another day at the office. The guys at LMR are serious when it comes to creating some the most powerful Corvettes out there; in fact they are regulars at standing mile competitions. Whether or the not the Z06 on the dyno, is being to prepared for the 2012 standing mile competition season or the owner is just a sick puppy is unknown.

With all of the additional duct work and other aero gear, it is likely that this C6 Z06 will be seeing some competition. It is hard to imagine this pump gas powered monster on the street, but it has to be insane. With the car safely strapped down on the dyno, the operator glances out of the driver’s side before he lays into the throttle. Hearing the engine under full throttle provides a little insight into this crazy combination; the numbers don’t lie, this C6 laid down 1,244 horsepower and 1,028 ft-lb of torque. After watching this clip a second time a pair of Nitrous Express bottles are visible underneath the rear hatch. Thanks to a combination of LSX engine, twin hair dryers from Precision Turbo and some nitrous, this is one extremely fast C6.
