Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship Award Presented to WyoTech Student

wyotech2 [1]Scott Brown, an automotive student attending Wyotech, has become the proud recipient of the Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship Award. The Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship is a $5,000 award which was presented to him on Nov 6, 2013 at SEMA [2].

wyotech [3]After serving for four years in the US Army, Brown attended Wyotech [4] in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, to learn the skills he needed to open up his own repair shop. Brown earned the award for his work ethic, great character and strong ambition. Brown hopes to design high performance systems for every day cars, and in his own words “…tear apart brand new cars and make them better!”

“With a 4.0 GPA and a strong work ethic, Scott was our first choice for the scholarship that honors the memory of my father,” said Vic Edelbrock, Jr., chairman of Edelbrock, LLC [5]. “Scott’s integrity and his passion for performance were evident throughout the interview process. It was great to meet him and his mother, Judy, who were both first time SEMA show attendees and life-long automotive fans.”

The Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship is awarded to students who excelled in attendance and earn top grades while attending or graduating from an automotive trade school. Other qualities Edelbrock looks for when selecting a winner, are the desire to build high performance motors and to work in the fields of automotive aftermarket or performance.

If you are an Automotive student who would like to win this award, work hard and you could be at SEMA 2014, shaking Vic Edelbrock’s hand receiving this prestigious award. Our congratulations go out to Scott for his hard work and dedication, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
