Upcoming Corvette Documentary to be Filmed in Hi-Def 3D
Onset3D Studios, a joint venture between Patrick Gramm and Philip Angelotti, have announced plans begin a groundbreaking Corvette documentary spanning all six generations of the legendary sports car and filmed entirely in high definition 3D video.
Gramm is the well-known web series producer of Vette Dogs, Vette Girl: An American Adventure, Vette Garage: The Series, and has recently finished post-production on The Speed Business, a racing series featuring World Challenge Corvette driver Tony Gaples and Blackdog Racing.
Angelotti is an award-winning writer, producer, director, and actor (NYPD Blue, Coach, JAG), with awards for Best Director, Best Writer and Best Feature Film on the independent film circuit. Gramm and Angelotti will be working in conjunction with the National Corvette Museum, both as a resource and subject matter authority.
Gramm acknowledged that “Corvettes have always been a passion of mine, and I am absolutely thrilled to play a part in creating the first 3D documentary on the Corvette. The end product should be a great fit for the upcoming 24/7 3D channel from Sony, IMAX and Discovery.”
A special theatrical version of the Corvette 3D Experience will be produced exclusively for the National Corvette Museum for public showing, offering the museum a new attraction and an additional revenue source.
Acknowledging the fierce odds of achieving financing for an independent documentary for Corvette enthusiasts, Gramm and Angelotti chose the non-traditional approach of crowdfunding and are reaching out to fellow Corvette enthusiasts to help make the Corvette 3D Experience a reality.
Any individual, shop, business or company can help make this project happen by visiting the crowdfunding web site and making a contribution. Supporters of their campaign will receive perks ranging from the Corvette 3D Experience 2-disc set on HD Blu-ray 3D and tickets to the premiere, to having their Corvette featured in the documentary.
