Streetable 9-second 1967 Corvette Could Be Yours For $75k

Love Second Gen Corvettes? Tired of how long it takes for you to get to Cruise Night? Have the better part of $100,000 burning a hole in your pocket? Then we’ve found just the car for you…

According to the seller, Diversion Motors of Manitowoc Wisconsin, this 1967 Corvette runs the quarter mile in 9.80 seconds at 138 MPH, but remains streetable with “nice highway manners” thanks to overdrive and cruise control. As delivered from the factory, it was an l97, 327CI 350 horsepower car with a four speed, but now a 582 Shafiroff making 744 HP backed by a Lentech Strip Terminator AOD transmission provides motivation.

Inside, there’s a 10-point chrome moly cage to keep you safe at the track (and bonk your head on the street) and full furnishings, including sound and heat insulation under the carpet. They say it’s completely street-legal, with working wipers, horn, headlights, and turn signals.

A Ford 9-inch rearend hung from a 4-link setup and sprung with Strange adjustable coilovers turns Holeshot wheels wrapped in 29×15-inch Mickey Thompson Sportsman radials. Aerospace 4-piston discs on all four corners take care of getting things slowed down.

All together, it looks like a very nicely built car that would be a hell of a lot of fun on the street or at the track. The question is whether or not the $75k price tag is right, though Diversion does say “all trades considered”…
