Smaller, Cheaper 2014 C7 Corvette Available Now From New Bright

[1]Just about everyone we’ve talked to loves the new 2014 Corvette Stingray, and with good reason. With its new European-inspired styling, more powerful LT1 V8 engine, and exquisite fit and finish on the interior, the 2014 Corvette is the supercar we’ve been waiting for from GM. Of course even though it is a performance bargain at a reputed base price of just over $55,000, most of us can’t quite afford that, at least not until a few years of depreciation are factored in. 

But if you’re not that patient type, and can’t afford to drop more than $1 million on the first example of the 2014 Corvette, then there is another option. Autoblog [2]reports that toymaker New Bright is creating an exclusive 1:8-scale replica of the 2014 Corvette Stingray that is detailed, accurate, and a whole lot cheaper than the real deal.

When we say detailed, we mean it. This 1:8 scale 2014 Corvette Stingray includes such detailed touches as LED lights and an authentic-looking interior, as you can see from the pictures. This is a larger R/C car than usual, and New Bright still hasn’t released pricing information or availability. We’re sure that will follow soon.

The initial color option appears to be limited to Torch Red, and no word on whether a droptop conversion will also be available. But for those of us who can’t afford a brand new Corvette, this accurate alternative would certainly liven up our mantlepiece. Plus, telling our friends how we bought a brand new Corvette could lead to some hilarious pranks. Just thinking outside the box is all…
