SEMA 2012: Hankook Tires Unveils The Ventus S1 Noble

When choosing a tire, many enthusiasts can get confused in selecting the right tire for their needs. Many more just give up and select something one of their buddies recommended. If you’re reading this then you’re lucky we’re hear to help you.

Walking through all of the booths at SEMA this year, we ran across the Hankook display in time for them to reveal their latest offering, the Ventus S1 Noble. With a name that sounds like a rare, exotic supercar we would expect this tire to perform incredibly well… and it does!

This latest offering is a blend of high performance road grip and handling, with the safety and convenience of all-season traction. That’s right not only is this tire Z-rated and will it eventually be W-rated, but you can drive this through ice and snowy weather conditions without any issues.

Hankook’s Engineer, Tom Kenny, told us all about these awesome new tires while at SEMA, and not only did he share all of the aforementioned information with us, but he also told us that “Dry weather traction was our number one priority in developing the S1 Noble.”

The S1 Noble offers superb handling and grip, while providing the driver with excellent all-season capabilities.

Kenny continued to say that it will be available in a total of 46 sixes, with more eventually being added on at a latter date, and only in low profile spec, from 40-55 series sidewalls. It also incorporates noise pattern technology that keeps the tire raw to a minimum.

These tires aren’t available for purchase at this time, but expect them to be at your local Hankook dealer during the first quarter of 2013.

  • Excellent dry weather traction
  • All-season tire capabilities
  • Noise reducing technology
