GM has announced a new Push On campaign, aimed at getting owners of OnStar-equipped vehicles to press their blue OnStar button. According to GM’s director of subscriber services, Terry Inch, many customers who have an OnStar-equipped vehicle don’t take advantage of its features.

From March 14 through May 31, everyone that pushes the blue Onstar button in their GM vehicle gets a chance to win a GM vehicle of their choice, with all the factory optional equipment they want. You do not have to be a current OnStar subscriber to participate in the promotion. The only excluded vehicle is the Chevy Volt.

“The ‘Push On’ sweepstakes is our way to remind drivers with OnStar in their vehicles just how powerful the system is, yet it’s so easy to use,” said Sam Mancuso, OnStar chief marketing officer. “Just push a button and you’re connected.”

The company currently currently has six million OnStar subscribers since starting in 1995. Basic services available with an OnStar subscription include Automatic Crash Response, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, Roadside Assistance, Remote Door Unlock, Remote Horn and Light Flashing, Red Button Emergency Services and OnStar Remote Vehicle Diagnostics.
