Lopsided matchups happen at the drag strip often, but if you saw a supercharged Corvette line up against a golf cart, who would you place your money on? Standard gearhead logic would dictate that the Corvette should put train lengths on any golf cart, but in this situation, that logic would be dead wrong. This video from Green Cove Dragway in Florida shows why you should never judge a book, or in this case, a golf cart, by its cover.
Joey Halloway has created what could be one of the wildest golf carts we’ve ever seen. His heavily modified ride is known as the “Busakart” has a 1300cc engine out of a Hayabusa motorcycle powering it. The Busakart makes 158 horsepower and has a nitrous kit from Nitrous Outlet added to the mix for some extra spice.

In this video, Halloway is lined up against Kevon Maxwell in a no time grudge race for a cool $1,000 in cash. Maxwell’s Z06 Corvette is far from stock. Under the hood is a 441 cubic-inch LSX-based engine fed by an F1-X ProCharger — a combination making well over 1,000 horsepower to the tires.
On paper, this race shouldn’t even be close with Maxwell’s Z06 making so much power, but races aren’t won on paper. In this video from Urbanworm it looks like Halloway gets the jump on Maxwell when the tree drops and turns that into a quick lead. Just when Maxwell’s Corvette starts to make up some ground, he misses a gear allowing Halloway to motor away and get the win with the gap!
