Always one of the most popular booth’s at the PRI trade show is the Scorpion Racing Products booth with their robotic arms working to deliver bottles of water to trade show attendees. It’s amazing to see these robots move in the booth, with precision, to retrieve the plastic bottles of water from ice chests and place them into a chute for the visitors take and enjoy as they look at all the Scorpion Racing Products in the booth.

The robot display is there to entertain the onlookers, but also to show the precision movements that these machines have. That’s important because these robots are the “blue collar” labor in the Scorpion Racing Products factory. Mistake free, the robots dutifully go through their work day without a care in the world, producing piece after piece with great precision and efficiency.

We talked with Luke Whalen, General Manager of Scorpion Racing Products, about the latest products in their line of racing parts. “We’ve got an entire line for the racing crowd, whether you are talking circle track, road racing, drag racing or marine, that will withstand anything that you can dish out. Our endurance line of racing components is built to take the punishment of racing and provide quality results time and time again.”

The first component that Whalen showed us was the new Endurance LS Series L-92 Rocker Arms. According to Whalen, “These rockers were specifically designed for the Chevy L-92 and LS-3 engines as a direct bolt on kit that works well with other stock components like the stock valve covers.” Whalen also highlighted that these rocker arms are made in America.

Features of the L-92 Endurance Rocker Arms:

• No machining required, no valve cover spacers needed.
• No changing pushrods, guideplates or rocker studs.
• Direct bolt on kit.

The next item Whalen brought out was the High Performance Fuel Pump Pushrod. “This fuel pump pushrod is the lightest and strongest on the market today,” Whalen touted. Made from 8620 billet steel, the pushrod has an aluminum bronze tip to eliminate wear on steel camshafts, especially in high rpm applications.

• Lightweight, only 57 grams.
• Precision ground on the outside diameter and rod ends.

Next up was the Endurance series lifters.  Whalen explained, “These are the ultimate high performance lifters. They are made to withstand high rpm conditions for extended periods of time.”  These lifters are available in a retro fit conversion for changing from flat tappet to roller camshafts and are available in most Bowtie and aftermarket applications.
