PRI 2010: Intercomp Offers PC Wireless Weighing

[1]Laptop computers are becoming more common around racecars, with most fuel injected cars using laptops to make adjustments to their timing and fuel curves. Intercomp Racing [2] saw the opportunity to use this technology in their new wireless scale system.  We talked to Aaron Van Heel, Marketing Manager for Intercomp, about the new system.

“We took our existing billet scale pads with integrated RFX wireless technology and our RaceWeigh software and adapted it for use on portable computers. The data is easily transmitted from the scale pads to any PC that has Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.”

Features of the PC Wireless Scale System:

We checked out the scale system and was impressed by the ease of operation. All functions were menu driven and simple to use. Even the custom screen displays were simple to navigate and change.  You can shift between oval track, Sprint Cup, Kart, Road Racing, Dirt track, Drag or Rally racing.

Each pad is rated at 1,500 pounds and the total system is rated to 6,000 pounds.

The price tag is this system is unbelievable inexpensive and targeted to racers that already use a lap top computer for their car’s set up.
