Pictures of 2013 Night Race Blue and 60th Anniversary ZR1 Corvettes

It’s nearing the middle of 2012 already, which means it’s getting closer to the time that we will say goodbye to the C6 Corvette and welcome the new C7. But before that happens, GM has one last hurrah for us in the form of the new “Night Race Blue” color option and special 60th Anniversary package for the 2013 Corvettes. While speculation has surrounded the new blue offering and we’ve already seen the 60th Anniversary Package on the 427 Convertible, new pictures have surfaced on CorvetteBlogger [2] showing just what’s in store for the last run of C6 Corvettes, and some of them may surprise you.

[3] While we brought you speculation [4] of what the new Night Race Blue (thought to be called Midnight Race Blue at the time) could look like back in February, no one knew for sure how the new blue color would actually look.

Now that production of the 2013 Corvette has gotten underway, the new Night Race Blue color has been spotted on a 427 Convertible set to be displayed at the National Corvette Museum Corvette Birthday Bash next week.

Expectations were that the new blue would be dark, but we didn’t expect it to be as dark as it really is. Somewhere between charcoal grey and navy blue; we do, however, think the new blue offering looks rather sleek splashed across the 427 Convertible.

While we already covered the new 60th Anniversary 427 Convertible back in January, the 60th Anniversary Package is also being offered on all the 2013 Corvettes, including the ZR1.

While the two 60th Anniversary cars pictured here don’t yet have their carbon fiber skirts, center caps or splitters installed, you can get an idea of what the special anniversary package will look like on both the convertible and ZR1 coupe.

Although the first 427 Convertible auctioned off recently at Barrett-Jackson [6] was finished in the anniversary package, the two can be separated with the convertible being offered in all 10 production colors. Just the same, you can get the 60th Anniversary Package on something other than the convertible. This is good news for those looking to expand their 2013 Corvette customizing options.
