Corvettes: we love them in every shape, size and model year. That’s what makes the upcoming Houston Mecum auction so great! As we found out from CorvetteBlogger, there will be over 60 Corvettes that cross the auction block there this weekend, with examples from every generation. If you’re looking for a Fuelie, resto-mod or L89 Corvette, this auction shouldn’t be missed.

The Houston auction runs today and tomorrow at the Reliant Center. Of the Corvettes up for auction, most fall in the second and third generations, with 11 cars just from 1967.

While there aren’t any examples from the first few C1 years, there are plenty of cars to choose from that range in model years from 1959 to 2009.

Among the cars that should get some pretty hefty bids are a numbers-matching ‘63 Fuelie that has undergone a no-expense-spared restoration, a ’68 L89 convertible that has over five National Corvette Restorers Society Top Flight awards and was featured in Vette magazine back in 1995, and a ‘67 resto-mod convertible, complete with a LS6 engine, Street Shop chassis, C5 brakes and a Tremec-five speed transmission.

You can catch all the action at the Houston Mecum auction on the Velocity channel or live on Mecum’s website. But if you’re in the Houston area, you might just want to head over to the Reliant Center and check out some of the fine Corvettes up for bid.
