Order Up! One Char-broiled C7 Stingray To Go, Please

Via our friends at CorvetteBlogger [2], we came across this C7 that has been sadly burnt to the ground – it’s horrendous to be quite honest.

We have no clue how it happened, and neither does CorvetteBlogger, but by the looks of it, it doesn’t look like crash, but more like an electrical fire of some sort. If it was an electrical fire, it must’ve been a fluke, as we haven’t heard of any problems from the electrical system in the C7 Stingrays (yet). There’s no word on the owner’s condition, and we can only hope that he/she is OK and wasn’t in the car at the time of the fire.

We strongly felt that the C7 we posted last week [3] was the worst wrecked C7 that we’ve seen since the release of the car, but damn, were we wrong. Looking at this car, we notice that the roof panels are melted to nothing, along with the hatch, front fenders, and rear quarter panels. If it weren’t for the newer Corvette wheels, this car would be almost unrecognizable.

Whether this was a crash or not, this is a good reminder to be safe out there, no matter what car you are in. Also, be sure to carry a little fire extinguisher in your car should a fire break out – if the fire can’t be contained, then step away and leave it to the professionals.

We’re hoping to not see anymore C7s like this because it’s truly a devastating situation and without question cannot be salvaged. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure…
