OPTIMA Named The Official Battery Of The SVRA 2015 Race Season

For the 2015 race season, the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) has named OPTIMA the official battery of the upcoming 18 race series. With 40 years under their belt, OPTIMA Batteries continues to bring technological innovation and engineering by offering various products for racers and enthusiasts alike.

The SVRA strives to keep classic cars on the track.

Being SVRA’s official battery, OPTIMA’s on-track presence at each race will aim to bring knowledge and resources to help keep each vintage racer on the track and functioning accordingly. Duly noted, OPTIMA Batteries was the first to manufacture high-performance AGM automotive batteries, which revolutionized the battery industry collectively.

“OPTIMA Batteries’ products help racers feel more prepared and confident as they continue to push their vehicles to the limit on the track,” said Cam Douglass, director of marketing at OPTIMA Batteries. “We respect the passion and dedication that live within the vintage racing community and are proud of our partnership with the SVRA.”

With several race car classes, OPTIMA will be assisting all batteries duties for the 2015 SVRA race season.

OPTIMA’s patented SPIRALCELL TECHNOLOGY gives their batteries 15 times more vibration resistance as well as an increased cycle lifespan compared to traditional batteries. OPTIMA was the first to debut with a maintenance-free type lead-acid battery in 1987 and has since been in demand in both the domestic car and racing scene.

“We are committed to developing partnerships with quality, relevant suppliers, and OPTIMA Batteries certainly fits that bill,” said Greg Cooper, director of sponsorships and sales. “Sponsorship of the 2015 SVRA race season makes OPTIMA Batteries a more visible and competitive company in the vintage motorsports market. SVRA events are the perfect place to showcase the durability and performance of OPTIMA products.”p-Mike-Maier-Racing-Mustang
