North American Debut of 2019 Corvette ZR1 Tonight In Los Angeles

[1]

The fastest, most powerful production Corvette ever – the 755-horsepower 2019 ZR1.

General Motors will officially pull the wraps off the new Corvette C7 ZR1 in North America tonight at 7:30pm PST in Los Angeles.

Expect all key players of the Team Corvette, from engineering, styling, PR and marketing to be present and accounted for as well.

Power Automedia will have Dave Cruikshank, Editor of Corvette Online and Chase Christensen, Editor of LSX Magazine on the ground covering the event.

This will be the ZR1’s first debut on US soil after the controversial initial unveiling at the Dubai Auto Show a couple of weeks ago. [2]

We’ve all seen the Sebring Orange car with the big wing plastered all over the internet, but we wonder what Chevy might tease with tonight.  A convertible?  A “base” model with the little tail feather spoiler?

Will small wing ZR1 be revealed tonight?

Chevrolet revealed “The ZR1 will offer two aero packages: a standard rear Low Wing, which delivers the highest top speed and helps generate up to 70 percent more downforce than the Z06’s base aero package, and an available two-way-adjustable High Wing that offers maximum downforce on the track for the quickest lap times — about 60 percent more downforce than the Z06 with the available Z07 Performance Package. All models also feature a Chevrolet-first, downforce-enhancing front underwing.”

We can’t wait to see what Chevy has up it’s sleeve. Stay tuned to Corvette Online Facebook and LSXMag Facebook for all the details tonight.
