The downside to this popular swap is the occasional experience of difficulty when fitting the all-aluminum mills into their cars thanks to the unique serpentine belt configuration. Thankfully, Pace Performance [2] has stepped up to the plate, offering their customers the “Back to Basics” alternator-only serpentine drive systems. Available in either the one-wire alternator kit [3], or the Corvette-style 150 amp kit [4], both of which utilize Powermaster [5] starter motors.
