Forgeline Motorsports’ New Monoblock GT1 5-Lug Wheel

Wheels can make or break your ride. Selecting the right design has everyone taking a step back to say “ooooh” and the wrong design gets you that scrunched-up face you see the first time a toddler tastes a lemon. These slick monoblock GT1 5-lug wheels from Forgeline Motorsports are certainly of the first variety–perhaps enough to cause you to consider selling off your childhood Hot Wheels collection to pay for them.

Official Release:

Ever since releasing our center locking forged monoblock GT1 wheel (at SEMA 2013), we’ve received countless requests for a 5-lug version. So for the past several months, we’ve been hard at work engineering a wheel that maintains the character and appearance of the center locking GT1 yet accommodates a typical 5-lug mounting hub. It was not an easy task, but Forgeline Motorsports is now proud to introduce our latest one piece forged monoblock high-performance wheel, the GT1 5-Lug.

The GT1 5-Lug is a 10-spoke wheel that shares many styling, engineering, and manufacturing elements with the coveted GT1 center lock. Included in that list are extra-long spokes that extend all the way to the center cap to create a wheel that appears larger and a bit more refined. The long spokes are made possible by “hidden” lug seats that virtually disappear behind the spoke faces. Like the original GT1, the GT1 5-Lug features I-beamed spokes that are uniformly spaced, a bit thinner in width, and a bit thicker in depth. This contributes to a wheel that not only looks great, but also delivers an exceptional combination of mass, fatigue strength, and deflection stiffness.

The one piece forged monoblock GT1 5-Lug is machined from a single forging of 6061-T6 aluminum. It is currently available in 18, 19, 20, and 21-inch diameters. (Depending on size, the GT1 5-Lug may be available in deep, medium, or shallow concave profiles.) And just like any Forgeline wheel, the GT1 5-Lug is available with fully customizable finish options.
