The Gen III GM motors were revolutionary in their own right, introducing the world to popular and affordable V8s that had a good dose of versatility and technology thrown in as well. Edelbrock has enhanced these capabilities by introducing its E-Force supercharger for the platform. See the details below.
Official Release:
Edelbrock has expanded their popular E-Force Universal Supercharger systems to now include applications for GM Gen III engines.
Edelbrock’s new E-Force Universal Supercharger systems are designed for use with street rods and muscle cars with a GM Gen III engine. This supercharger incorporates the Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS) Gen VI rotor assembly, the same internals used on the ZR-1 Corvette, as well as an air to water twin intercooler system. Torque has been optimized through the use of 12″ long runners, while low speed fuel economy is retained through the use of an internal bypass valve to reduce parasitic loss. Edelbrock E-Force Systems are designed to provide instant and reliable horsepower with low boost for minimum stress on the engine. Its compact design fits under the stock hood on most applications and complements the clean look of any engine compartment.
These systems require the use of a universal heat exchanger (sold separately) to provide maximum heat dissipation. Edelbrock offers four solutions; full-face design (#15405), compact design (#15406), narrow design (#15407) and large design (#15408).
Features:
- Uses Eaton TVS Gen VI rotor assembly
- Air-to-water intercooler system
- Internal bypass valve reduces parasitic loss
