DEI’s C7 Corvette Heat Shroud is made with a high-temp glass fiber fabric bonded to aluminized material that reflects 90% of radiant heat. The Z06 Corvette is noted for its oil cooler lines placed in close proximity to the catalytic converter capable of reaching 1200+ degrees Fahrenheit. Radiant heat from the converter can raise the oil temperature to the point of putting the C7 in limp mode and putting other components at risk of failure. This scenario is especially possible at the racetrack or even spirited street driving.
DEI now offers a simple, easy to install solution. The C7 Heat Shroud protects engine oil from overheating without the need to disconnect the oil cooler lines. Developed with a convenient hook and loop closure design, installation takes only minutes. Simply wrap the heat shroud around the oil cooler line and seal.
