National Corvette Museum Bash Will Display C7 Coupe and Convertible
Over the weekend of April 25-27, 2013, the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky will host their official kickoff for this year’s on-site event season. There are many highlights of the weekend, chief among them the opportunity to see both the coupe and convertible C7 Stingrays right there on the property.
In addition there will be many seminars and walk-arounds with GM engineers and designers from the Warren Tech Center, Milford Proving Grounds, and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant. The opportunity to check out the newest versions of the car, while having the GM engineers close by to answer questions about its design and development, is a chance many Corvette owners can only dream about.
Some of the members of the Corvette Racing team will also be in attendance, including Program Manager Doug Fehan, Crew Chief Dan Binks, and Driver Tommy Milner, giving NCM Bash attendees an up-close-and-personal chance to interact with some of the folks responsible for the Corvette’s on-track winning heritage. Seminar attendees will also have the chance to bid on unique items donated by the Corvette Racing Team through a live auction.
There will be two Celebrity Choice Car Shows over the course of the weekend, which will give ‘Vette owners a chance to have their car judged by some of the VIP’s that will be in attendance at the event. GM’s women engineers will be on-site hosting a Ladies’ Garage Seminar to teach how things work, how to have your car fixed, and other automotive consumer tips to help the ladies in attendance who wish to learn something new.
Of course, no Corvette event would be complete without the chance for the attendees to put their prized machines through an autocross course, and there will also be a number of guided road tours through the beautiful Bowling Green area and surrounding countryside. We’ve been there numerous times, and we can tell you that the roads in the area provide great scenery – this is one Bash you don’t want to miss.
