More Leaked Renderings Of C7 Corvette Revealed?

[1]General Motors is doing all it can to keep the C7 Corvette design under wraps, but like a screen door on a submarine, the leaks keep coming. The biggest upset was of course Jalonik’s rendering [2], but we managed to come across some pretty sweet scoops ourselves, finding a supplier video of the front bumper molding. Now it seems another leak has revealed even more about the C7 Corvette, including what that next-gen engine will look like.

Fair warning; we have been unable to confirm the authenticity of these images, which come from user keeks2915 over at the Corvette Forums [3]. However, he has some very specific information and images, as well as one thing many of us have overlooked… the possible return of the Stingray.

First though, on to the images, which keeks claims are from the next-gen 2014 Corvette. One interesting design cue is a stylized stingray paying homage to the stingray design first introduced in 1963. The engine bay does not give away anything too spectacular regarding the next Corvette. Despite rumors to the contrary, it looks like the next ‘Vette is sticking with the tried-and-true V8 engine. However, it is mentioned that an LT4 Camaro could be in the works for 2015 as a replacement for the ZL1.

However, keeks also provided images of the seat design and HVAC control panel. Again, neither image reveals much about the next Corvette, though that stingray design could be key. Other info includes tire sizes (285 rear, 235 fronts), an optional removable carbon fiber roof, and front park assist for the depth-perception-challenged. Also, analog gauges will be replaced by a digital setup similar to the CUE system in the current Cadillac XTS. Again, nothing earth-shattering, but is the Stingray moniker really making a comeback?

We can only hope. Let us know your thoughts on these new pics below!
