If you’ve never been, Mid America Motorworks‘ Effingham Illinois campus is a bit of a surprise… Part shipping hub, part museum, part fairground, it was the perfect spot for the Official Day 4 Lunch Stop on the 18th Annual Hot Rod Power Tour, with plenty of room for the more than 3,000 cars participating this year, more than 130 of which happened to be Corvettes.

“It’s a no-brainer that enthusiasts are driving their Corvettes on Hot Rod Power Tour,” said Mid America Motorworks founder and Chief Cheerleader, Mike Yager. “Late-model Corvettes are fast, attractive and comfortable. That’s exactly what you want on a 1,700 mile drive!”

Souvenirs of the June 5th stop included bumper stickers, T-shirts, and other related items. This is the second time Mid America Motorworks has hosted a stop on the tour, being voted “favorite lunch stop” in 2010. Corvette owners were offered a special parking area on the 150 acre facility, part of an enormous traveling car show that every gearhead needs to be a part of at least once… Add it to your bucket list, Corvette fans!
