The National Corvette Museum [3] has announced that Matt Busby will join their team as Track Operations Manager for NCM Motorsports Park. Busby will manage the track schedule and rentals, administer High Performance Driver’s Education (HPDE) programs, manage daily track activities and assist with track operations. Busby will be working closely with Mitch Wright, NCM Motorsports Park General Manager.

The National Corvette Museum will open a world class motorsports park in August, 2014. The Park is located on 184 acres with 1.5 miles of frontage on I-65 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, across from the Museum and the General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant. The NCM Motorsports Park is centrally located and one of the most accessible driving facilities in the country. Education and safety are the top priorities at the Park.

The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit foundation. As the largest car museum in the world dedicated to a single model, the NCM is committed to preserving Corvettes past, present and future. Their strength comes from over 27,000 members and a multitude of corporate partners.

Wright stated, “I am excited to have Matt join the Motorsports Park team. Matt has experience in what it takes to open a new facility, and to develop infrastructure for operations, and is very focused on customer service and building programs, which is a natural fit.”

Prior to being hired by NCM Motorsports Park, Busby was employed at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans. In addition, Busby owns and operates a racing data acquisition company, Aevum Racing, aimed to provide race data services to racers.

“I’m incredibly excited to be a part of such an extraordinary project with the Museum. It’s not every day that these kinds of opportunities arise, and I feel blessed to be a part of it all,” Busby said.

Currently residing in Louisiana, Busby will be relocating to Bowling Green to begin his new position.
