[1]The drag racing and car show season is really starting to wind down for 2012, especially in the North where fall has set in full force. But already racers and car enthusiasts are looking forward to the 2013 season, which will bring thousands of car-related events to states all across the country. Among the most anticipated events are the Manufacturer Series shows, which include the Super Chevy Show, Fun Ford Weekend, and Mega Mopar Action events.
This weekend these three big events jointly announced [2] that for 2013, they would host a total of 33 events nationwide. This includes the new event at the Bakersfield Auto Club Famoso Raceway event.
For 2013 there will be 12 Super Chevy Shows, including the first-ever “double header” event September 27th – 29th which will occur simultaneously at the Royal Purple Raceway and and Bristol Dragway. The Super Chevy series begins on March 22 – 24 at Palm Beach International Raceway.
The first Fun Ford Weekend of 2013 also happens that March weekend, but at Houston’s Royal Purple Raceway. The Fun Ford Weekend series will also include 12 events spread out across the continental U.S. throughout 2013, culminating at Bristol Dragway at a yet-to-be-decided date.
The Mega Mopar Action Series will grow to include five new event locations, bringing the total number of events to nine. That is more than double the Mega Mopar Shows in 2012, showing the most growth out of any of the series. Their schedule begins on April 6th at Rockingham Dragway, and comes to a conclusion in Bakersfield.
