Screamin’ Yellow Zonkers! If there were ever an automotive version of the cavity-inducing popcorn treat, it’s this collaboration between Continental Tires and famous speed guru Lingenfelter.
They took a fairly run-of-the-mill Corvette and gussied it up with mega-horsepower and the latest and greatest exterior pieces the aftermarket can muster.
The first thing you notice is the ACS wide-body kit that plumps up the rear fenders. The Corvette is a very modular car, and all 4 fenders are non-structural, mechanically fastened and easily swapped out with customized versions.
This’ Vette will need those fenders flares as it rides on bulging, 20-inch Forgeline forged aluminum wheels wrapped with 335/25ZR20 Continental ExtremeContact DW tires.
Additionally, state-of-the-art custom body tweaks include an ACS carbon fiber extraction hood and spoiler kit, along with updated rear quarter air management bits and ground effects.
The saffron hue is courtesy of AzkoNobel Coatings and is christened “Continental Extreme.”
All this lemony/mango exterior goodness means nothing without ample scoot to back things up, so the LT1 engine was endowed with a Lingenfelter engine package that boosts horsepower to 625 large and a stump pulling 600 ft-lb of torque, courtesy of a Magnusson supercharger and Borla exhaust.
The end result, according to Continental and Lingenfelter, “is a summer-ready C7 Corvette that looks and feels like a race car with the poise and temperament of a daily driver.”
The Continental Extreme ‘Vette will be making the rounds this year ending up at SEMA in just a few months, so keep your eyes peeled.
